After you check into your villa and settle in, you’ll have some time to relax and get ready for the exciting days ahead. Then, we’ll come together for a casual early dinner—on us—where you’ll get to know your fellow photographers and share your excitement for the journey. Over dinner, I’ll walk you through our evening photography plan and give you a sneak peek at what’s to come. Shortly after, we’ll head out to our first night shoot under the stars, capturing the breathtaking desert landscapes as they come alive in the magical twilight. It’s the perfect way to kick off your photography adventure!

Day 2: Stargazing With The Navajo

In the morning, we’ll embark on a guided tour of the park, where you’ll discover the rich history and culture of the Navajo people, as well as the stunning geography that shapes Monument Valley. You’ll have the opportunity to capture its beauty through your lens, with expert guidance on framing and composition.

In the afternoon, you’ll have some free time to unwind, review your shots, and dive into editing. Whether you want to refine your images or seek personalized feedback from our photography guides, this is your chance to hone your skills and make the most of your experience.

Afterwards, you’ll head to Goosenecks State Park for night photography. The twisting San Juan River, carved deep into the canyon, provides a striking foreground against a sky full of stars. With minimal light pollution, the Milky Way arcs above, offering ideal conditions for long-exposure shots. The peaceful desert night, combined with the vast, star-filled sky, creates an unforgettable atmosphere for astrophotography.
